Atomtechenergo of Rosatom has prepared the VVER-1200 reactor of the first power unit of the Rupur Nuclear Power Plant for physical launch.

Experts from "Rosatom" successfully completed the inspection of the main equipment of unit No. 1 of the "Ruppur" nuclear power plant (the general contractor and general designer of the project is the Engineering Division of the State Corporation "Rosatom"), being constructed in the People's Republic of Bangladesh. A final check on the readiness of the equipment of the power unit for the physical launch of the reactor was carried out, and a license for the operation of unit No. 1 was obtained.
The work was carried out by specialists from JSC "Atomtechenergo" (part of the management structure of the Concern "Rosenergoatom", the Energy Division of the State Corporation "Rosatom"). During the work, the reliability of the systems was confirmed after conducting "hot testing," when the technological systems were tested under conditions as close to operational as possible.

As part of the technological cycle, specialists from the commissioning organization successfully confirmed the design characteristics of the systems after conducting trial operations of the reactor installation at nominal parameters, performed the unloading of simulators of heat-emitting assemblies from the active zone of the reactor, and completed the commissioning work of the transport and technological equipment. Tests of the spent fuel handling machine were conducted in "dry" and "underwater" modes, confirming its readiness to work with nuclear fuel. The boron washing of the first circuit systems was successfully completed, ensuring the absence of chemically demineralized water in the pipelines.
