MODULAR BUILDINGS OF COMPLETE FACTORY READINESS AS AN ELEMENTARY BASE FOR CREATING TEMPORARY RESIDENTIAL CAMPS
This Guide is a comprehensive document that defines the scope, content, and procedure for providing engineering and consulting services related to the use of fully factory-ready modular buildings (FFRB) as the main component base for creating Temporary Residential Towns (TRT), designed to accommodate personnel on nuclear industry projects. The document is oriented towards clients (investors), project organizations, manufacturers of modular buildings, construction and assembly organizations, operating organizations, as well as regulatory bodies.
The Guide details the advantages and limitations of using FFRBs, provides their classification based on structural design, functional purpose, climatic performance, and degree of mobility. Special attention is paid to the features of designing TRTs based on modular buildings, including the development of master plans (considering zoning for a multicultural workforce), foundation requirements, the design and connection of engineering networks, as well as the specifics of designing modules for various purposes and fire safety issues.
The document covers key aspects of production, delivery, logistics, assembly, and commissioning of TRTs from FFRBs. It addresses issues of operation, maintenance, and repair of modular buildings, as well as their dismantling, relocation, or disposal upon project completion, including land reclamation. Economic aspects of using FFRBs and regulatory issues are also considered.
Appendix A to the Guide contains a list of parameters that require clarification and adaptation in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the host country and the specifics of the particular project. (Note: Appendices B "List of Buildings, Structures, and Other Objects of a Typical Temporary Residential Town" and C "List of Definitions and Abbreviations Used in the Document" exist as separate reference materials).
This Guide aims to assist in making informed decisions and applying best practices in the creation of modern, safe, cost-effective, and comfortable Temporary Residential Towns based on fully factory-ready modular buildings.
