The Republic of Serbia, after the official lifting of the 35-year moratorium on the construction of a nuclear power plant in late 2024 1, has entered Phase 2 of the IAEA Milestones Approach (Milestones Approach). This phase, which, according to estimates by the Ministry of Mining and Energy (MME), will last 5–7 years 2, is focused on site selection (Site Selection), creation of the regulatory framework, and preparation for the tender.
