The Economic Miracle of Kostolac: Strategic Transformation of a Coal Monotown into a Global Benchmark for the Atomic Renaissance.

Against the backdrop of the historical repeal of the 35-year moratorium on building nuclear power plants in Serbia and the active development of a national road map in collaboration with world industry leaders, such as the French company EDF, the question of public perception of nuclear technologies becomes a priority. Today in the Opinions section we publish two documents designed to arm specialists with effective arguments for working with populations in regions potentially suitable for hosting NPPs. The materials are based on the real experience of the Finnish commune Eurajoki (Olkiluoto NPP) — a municipality that managed to turn the presence of a nuclear facility into the foundation of unprecedented economic prosperity.
