Will China have the capacity to build 50 reactors at the same time?
China has announced that it has reached a capacity that allows it to simultaneously build as many as 50 nuclear reactors. According to a report by the Chinese Association for Nuclear Energy (CNEA) and many other world media, the country has fully mastered the complete cycle – from design to construction – thereby moving from the phase of 'monitoring' to the phase of global leadership in nuclear technology

Dok kriza u Ormuskom prolazu i rat na Bliskom istoku iznova pokazuju ranjivost lanaca snabdevanja fosilnim gorivima, Kina ubrzava svoju nuklearnu ekspanziju.
A kineske brojke stvarno menjaju računicu.
Pored proizvodnje struje, Kina razvija i nove primene:
- High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactors (HTGR): a fourth-generation concept that will be used for secondary heating and industrial processes.
- Decarbonization of industry: pilot projects are already using nuclear steam for petrochemical industry needs, directly replacing coal-fired boilers.
Ali iako je uloga nuklearne energetike u stabilizaciji sistema (baseload) neprocenjiva, nuklearna energija trenutno accounts for less than 5% of China's energy mix.
